Lindasy Lohan’s had her share of bonkers meltdowns over the years, and as it turns out, it may just run in the family. The actress’ estranged stepmom, Kate Major-Lohan, was recently booted off a JetBlue plane and arrested for going unhinged.
According to TMZ, Major-Lohan — a former tabloid reporter who made her own headlines after dating reality star Jon Gosselin and marrying Lindsay’s dad — harassed and threatened another passenger mid-flight while drunk.
It started with an argument about lack of leg room, but allegedly ended with Major-Lohan throwing her phone and lunging forward at a flight attendant. The pilot decided to divert the plane and make an emergency landing in New Orleans.
The one-time reporter was charged with interference with flight crew members, a federal offense that could garner up to 20 years in prison. But the celebrity news website says that’s the least of her worries right now — Major-Lohan was sent directly to a rehab facility after posting $25,000 bail.
